Certified (also sworn or authorised) translators produce officially certified translations, in other words, they certify the accuracy and completeness of the translation. Translators for legal equivalence are publicly appointed and generally sworn/certified or authorised according to the legal provisions of the respective federal state. These certified translations are needed for the registration of a marriage or the recognition of a school qualification or application for a new citizenship, for example.
It is worth clarifying in advance whether the translation needs to be produced based on the original, or whether a scan/copy of the original would suffice. For this purpose, please contact the responsible authority/office for which you need the certified translation.
For birth certificates, official documents and similar in non-editable format, a basic fee of at least €85.00 plus VAT per page will be charged, depending on the volume and formatting of the translation. Send us a scan/photo of the relevant document and we will be happy to make you a tailored Quote.
